The red Tsingys are located in the north of the island, about 50 km from Diego Suarez. A sand track allows you to reach Tsingy which is 17km from the national road.

Compared to the Tsingy of Bemaraha to the west, the red Tsingy are made of sandstone and not limestone and are therefore much more fragile. The reddish color is given to this formation of hundreds of peaks by the red laterite earth, so typical of Madagascar. The red Tsingy are found in a canyon where erosion causes more and more Tsingy to appear, but where Tsingy also regularly disappear due to wind and water erosion. Thus, this training is constantly changing, which makes it particularly interesting.
